Zestar! is a crisp, sweet-tart apple developed by UMN, known for its early ripening (late August/early September) & balanced flavor with hints of brown sugar, making it great for fresh eating, and cooking. It's a cross between the 'State Fair' and an unnamed apple, offering excellent cold hardiness for northern climates and good storage life for an early-season variety. It is on g.11 dwarf rootstock. It will get up to 8’ – 12’ tall
And start producing apples in as early as 3 years.
